When I picked up this book, I expected it to be the standard story of a pregnant teenager and the choices she has to face….and that’s exactly how it starts out. What I didn’t expect were the twists and turns Sandy would face and how this book would end up coming full circle with her past choices coming back to haunt her. Sandy’s story was an awesome reading adventure and I loved seeing how it all played out.
I was really surprised at Robert Whitlow’s ability to understand female emotions and personalities and write in such a way that I could really connect with. Since I usually find myself reading Chick Lit books, which are mainly written by women, it was a nice change to read a story by a male author that really spoke to women. My only complaint would be that the climax happens very late in the book and the story seems to get wrapped up rather quickly from there.
