Book Review: The Fight of Our Lives

The Fight of Our Lives
By
William Bennett and Seth Liebsohn

In trying to be politically correct and trying to keep peace with largely Muslim nations, our country has downplayed details from current events. Our current administration has discontinued the use of words such as “terrorists” and “Islamic extremists.” William Bennett and Seth Liebsohn feel that these choices, as well as countless others, have already put the US on the path of surrender to those who have endorsed and supported actions such as the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the Fort Hood shooting of December 2009. In this book, Bennett and Liebsohn provide evidence that supports his theory as well as information about what we can do to reclaim this war and claim victory.

I really enjoyed this book; it was very insightful and really made me think about current events in another way. It is written in a factual manner, rather than one of “Christian bias.” This is not a book that I was able to read very quickly as it takes a while to really process some of the information; it doesn’t help that I have two small kids running around creating diversions! Whether you agree with the writer’s viewpoint or not, this book is well written and very thought provoking.

This book can be found at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, as well as many other retailers.
