Women Living Well
Life is hard! Life as a Christian woman in today’s culture can be extremely hard. From Pinterest to blogs to social media, we are daily bombarded by things that our mothers and grandmothers never faced and it’s tough. It’s tough to be confident, it’s tough to feel like you’re good enough when it seems like everyone else around you is doing so much more and doing it all so much better. I know I am often overwhelmed, feeling like I’m not crafty enough, not spiritual enough, not parenting the right way, the list could go on and on. As a Christian wife and mother, Courtney Joseph is no stranger to what you and I face on a daily basis. She’s been writing and encouraging people through her blog for a few years now and has recently released Women Living Well to further her message.
In Women Living Well, Courtney Joseph stresses the fact that once we really get to know God and walk with him, other areas of our lives will naturally be transformed. Following what some may consider old-fashioned values, she tackles our relationship with God, marriage, parenting and household management. One of the things I like best about the book is the way it tackles these subjects; it doesn’t seem like you have to gone to seminary to understand what she’s trying to say. Courtney Joseph makes her point clearly and offers amazing encouragement in words that I could easily understand without out having to have complete silence to be able to take it all in. It’s a book I could read while the kids are running around the house screaming. 🙂 This may sound funny, but there are some bloggers and authors out there today that have some awesome stuff to say but I really have to have time to concentrate and digest what they’re trying to say…they definitely aren’t quick easy reads.
I would highly recommend this book to any women looking for encouragement and practical ways she can work on her relationship with God and organize her life and household. I also recommend checking out Courtney’s blog at womenlivingwell.org.
