Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Denise Hunter and Diann Hunt

In Smitten Book Club, authors Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Denise Hunter and Diann Hunt welcome readers back to Smitten, Vermont – America’s most romantic town. This time we follow Molly, Heather, Lia and Abby, members of the Fireside Book Club. Heather finds an old relationship advice book at a rummage sale, a book written by one of Smitten’s own residents, and shares it with the club.  As they take turns reading The Gentlewoman’s Guide to Love and Courtship each woman falls in love with it for a different reason, but they all agree on one thing: that it contains clues to finding hidden treasure left behind by the author. As the women share the book and the quest for treasure, they also form an amazing bond of friendship.

I really enjoyed this latest trip back to Smitten.  After reading the other books in this series, I’ve fallen in love with the little town and love to get introduced to new residents with each new book. Though the book is written by four different authors, each with their own writing style, the stories blend together seamlessly.  If you weren’t told that there were multiple authors, you’d never know. Each character is relatable in their own way and their stories are fun and interesting to read. Every time I read a Smitten novel I find myself wish that it was as real place and that I could take a vacation there.  If you’re looking for a quick, light-hearted read, pick up Smitten Book Club – you won’t be disappointed.
